Return Policy

At Blueridge Pitbulls Puppies, we want every adoption to be a lifelong success for both the puppy and the family. We carefully screen our homes and provide guidance throughout the adoption process to make sure each placement is the right fit. That said, we understand that circumstances can change, and we have a clear policy in place to protect both our puppies and our buyers.

Deposits

All deposits made to reserve a puppy are non-refundable. Deposits secure your spot on a specific litter and allow us to turn away other interested families. If you change your mind, we may offer to transfer your deposit to a future litter at our discretion, but refunds are not issued.

48-Hour Health Return Window

As outlined in our Health Guarantee, the buyer has 48 hours from the time the puppy is received to have it examined by a licensed veterinarian. If the veterinarian determines the puppy is in poor health within that window, the puppy may be returned to Blueridge Pitbulls Puppies for a refund of the purchase price or a replacement puppy of equal value. All travel and return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Returns After 48 Hours

If, for any reason, you can no longer care for your Blueridge puppy after the 48-hour window has passed, we ask that you contact us first. We would always rather take a puppy back than see it surrendered to a shelter or rehomed to an unknown party. Returns after 48 hours are accepted at our discretion and do not include a refund. All travel arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Non-Returnable Situations

We are unable to accept returns or issue refunds in the following situations:

  • Puppies that have been injured, neglected, or improperly cared for after leaving our home
  • Puppies that have been transferred, sold, or rehomed to a third party without our written consent
  • Non-life-threatening congenital conditions, which are excluded under our Health Guarantee
  • Behavioral concerns related to lack of training, exercise, or socialization in the new home

Our Lifelong Commitment

Every Blueridge puppy has a home with us for life. If you are ever unable to keep your dog, please reach out before making any other decisions. We will work with you to find a safe path forward, whether that means taking the dog back or helping you find a responsible new home.
