Shipping/Delivery
Shipping & Delivery
At Blueridge Pitbulls Puppies, the health and welfare of our puppies come first. For this reason, no puppy leaves our home before 8 weeks of age. In some cases, we may keep a puppy until 9 or 10 weeks if we feel they need a little more time to mature. Every puppy is evaluated individually, and our veterinarian has the final say on when a puppy is cleared to travel. Our goal is simple: you receive a happy, healthy, well-socialized Pitbull ready to start life with your family.
Shipping and air delivery are available on request. If you’re unable to pick up your puppy in person, we can safely arrange transport once the full purchase price has been paid. Our puppies can be delivered nationwide. Shipping fees vary based on your location and are in addition to the price of the puppy. Any additional costs will be confirmed at the time of adoption.
We’ve shipped many puppies over the years and have refined the process to keep stress and risk to a minimum. The rare delays we’ve encountered have only sharpened our attention to detail. Today, every Blueridge puppy travels under the safest conditions possible and arrives in great shape.
For delivery, we use trusted transport methods and experienced handlers to safely unite you with your new companion anywhere in the United States or Canada.
You have three options for bringing your puppy home:
1) Pick-Up
You’re welcome to drive to us and pick up your puppy in person, or meet us at a designated location within a 120-mile radius of our home.
By Car
After your reservation deposit or final payment is made, you can drive out and pick up your new Pitbull. Honestly, this is our favorite option. Meeting in person lets you see where your puppy was raised and gives your puppy the smoothest possible transition. We know it isn’t always possible, but when it is, we recommend it.
By Airlines
If you’d rather fly in, we’ll meet you at the ticket counter with your puppy after your deposit or final payment is made. We can also pick you up at the airport and bring you back to our home. For anyone with frequent flyer miles, this is often the most affordable way to collect your puppy. Airlines typically charge a small fee for an in-cabin pet.
2) Air Transportation
We’ve successfully shipped puppies to destinations across the U.S. and internationally through approved pet transport services. Shipping costs depend on your location. Please note that only certain airlines transport flat-faced breeds during the summer months, so we’ll work with you to find the safest route.
A home delivery option is also available, where your puppy is driven from the airport directly to your doorstep for an additional fee.
Shipping costs cover airfare, the travel crate, the veterinary health certificate, and a puppy care packet that includes a sample of the food your puppy has been eating and detailed care information.
Important Information
Our flight nannies are trained handlers with flight attendant experience who travel with your puppy and personally hand-deliver them to you. They make sure your puppy’s needs are met every step of the way.
Because flight nannies travel standby through their transport company, they don’t control the day or time of arrival. Schedules can change, and they can only fly into certain airports. As the new owner, you’re responsible for being available to receive your puppy at the airport whenever the flight lands. If you’re late and the nanny has to return with the puppy, the cost of return travel is your responsibility, and refunds are not available. Nannies cannot miss their return flights.
By choosing flight nanny delivery, you agree to these terms.
Once payment is confirmed, we’ll process all paperwork within 24 hours and schedule your puppy’s transport. The exact travel day depends on flight availability. You’ll receive the transport date, arrival time, pickup location, and tracking details once everything is booked.
Your puppy’s flight is guaranteed, and our transport partners and flight nannies are committed to making sure your Pitbull arrives in excellent condition.
3) Ground Shipping (Specialized Ground Service)
When flight nanny service isn’t available, or when a puppy exceeds the 15 lb airline weight limit, we use a trusted ground transport service. Your puppy is driven by van directly to your doorstep anywhere in the continental U.S. Ground transport takes a little longer than flying, but the handlers are experienced professionals who care for the puppy throughout the trip.
A Few Final Notes
After transport, any signed paperwork is forwarded back to the shipper. While Blueridge Pitbulls Puppies helps arrange shipping, the final responsibility for receiving your puppy rests with you. Any import fees, inspection fees, taxes, or duties charged by your government are the responsibility of the receiver. If you’re unsure whether fees apply in your country, we’re happy to help you find out or provide an estimate.
If you choose to hire your own shipper, we reserve the right to refuse pickup if paperwork isn’t in order or if the transport vehicle has unsanitary conditions or sick animals on board.
