Health Guarantee

At Blueridge Pitbulls Puppies, we stand behind the health of every dog we place. We certify that all Pitbull puppies sold will be in good general health at the time of sale, current on all age-appropriate vaccinations, and dewormed as of the date of sale.

Before ownership is transferred, every puppy is examined by a licensed veterinarian. Puppies that are shipped will travel with a signed health certificate from our veterinarian.

48-Hour Examination Period

The buyer has 48 hours from the time they receive their puppy to have it examined by a veterinarian of their choice. If the veterinarian finds the puppy to be in poor health within that 48-hour window, Blueridge Pitbulls Puppies will, upon return of the puppy, refund the purchase price or replace the puppy with one of equal value.

All expenses related to returning a puppy are the responsibility of the buyer. Replacement puppies may be picked up from us at a pre-determined meeting place or shipped to the buyer at the buyer’s expense.

Terms of Sale

All Pitbull puppies are sold as pets only. There is no guarantee of breeding or show ability.

For the health guarantee to remain valid, the puppy must receive ongoing veterinary care at appropriate intervals, including regular health check-ups, deworming, and the completion of the vaccination series.

Congenital Defects

Blueridge Pitbulls Puppies does not guarantee against non-life-threatening congenital conditions, including but not limited to cherry eye, entropion, inverted tail, respiratory issues, stenotic nares, and skin allergies.

If, within one year of the puppy’s birth date, the puppy is diagnosed with a life-threatening congenital defect, please have your veterinarian sign a written statement with the diagnosis and send it to us. Based on the findings, we will replace the Pitbull with another puppy of equal value or discuss other available options. In the event of death caused by a life-threatening congenital defect, an autopsy is required and the results must be provided to the seller.

Veterinary Expenses

The buyer agrees that all veterinary bills are the responsibility of the buyer.

Replacement Puppies

Any replacement puppy provided under this guarantee is covered by the same terms as the original puppy.

Health Disputes

Any health disputes that may arise regarding your puppy will be reviewed by the seller’s veterinarian, who will make the final decision or determination on such matters.

Transferability

This guarantee applies to the original purchaser only. It is not transferable and becomes null and void if any interest in the puppy is sold, leased, or otherwise transferred to a third party, or if the puppy is no longer under the direct care, custody, and control of the original buyer, unless prior written permission has been obtained from Blueridge Pitbulls Puppies.
